Iveco is formed through the fusion of Fiat Industrial Vehicles from Turin, Italy; OM from Brescia, Italy; Lancia Special Vehicles from Bolzano, Italy; Unic from Trappes, France and Magirus-Deutz from Ulm, Germany.
The Daily becomes the first official Iveco project: planned, developed and manufactured following the company's foundation. This range of light-duty vehicles is launched in 1978 and the Daily becomes known as the authentic "Small Indastrial Vehicle".
